May is a special month at Southeast Community Services. While many Hoosiers turn their focus West to the Brickyard, the Southside neighborhoods are filled with the sound of live music rather than engines as the Virginia Avenue Music Festival (VAMF) kicks off. VAMF is a full week of great live performances, awesome vendors, and a strong sense of community that draws a vibrant crowd into one of Indy’s coolest neighborhoods.
Established in 2015, VAMF was brought to life by our neighbors at Square Cat Vinyl and Southeast is proud to be a part of this event and honored to be the non-profit benefited by VAMF.
If you’d like to get involved in this event, VAMF is looking for volunteers to help staff the festival throughout the week. You can find the list of available shifts and sign up for one here.
We can’t wait to see you all at the festival! Be sure to stop by the information booth on Saturday! Southeast will be there to talk about the programs we available for our southside neighbors and answer any questions.
