OUR IMPACT
Southeast Community Services is an anchor institution on the Southeast side of Indianapolis and we are dedicated to improving the lives of our neighbors. Highlighted below are some of the projects we have been involved with that we believe will have a lasting impact on the city we love.

NEIGHBORHOOD INVOLVEMENT
At Southeast Community Services, we understand that you can't serve a neighborhood without talking to the residents who live there. That's why our staff prioritizes participating in neighborhood meetings and events throughout the Southeast side on a monthly basis to make sure we understand the concerns of our neighbors and to share information about the resources we are able to provide.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
With new opportunities pouring into our city thanks to projects like the Community Justice Center in Twin Aire, Southeast Community Services quickly identified a gap in training skills that would allow our neighbors to take advantage of these new opportunities. To help address and close this gap, Southeast Community Services partnered with the Indiana Construction Roundtable Foundation's Build Your Future program to bring basic skilled trades training to our neighborhood.

Southeast Community Services also partners with the Immigrant Welcome Center to host the 901 Job Fair, where employers from a variety of companies across Indianapolis gather to interview and hire candidates into positions with an average starting wage of $12/hour.

FAMILY OUTREACH
Community centers like Southeast Community Services have long known the importance of engaging both parents and children through two-generation work. That is why we work so closely with the elementary and middle schools on the Southeast side of Indianapolis. Thanks to funding from the Children's Bureau, Southeast Community Services is able to provide Teacher Mini Grants to classrooms. These Mini Grants allow teachers to bring new, hands on experiences into their classrooms including hatching chicken eggs in an incubator and dissecting owl pellets to help students learn more about the world around them.

TWIN AIRE
Southeast Community Services is an active community partner in the Twin Aire neighborhood and the Community Justice Center (CJC). Our team has been involved with this project from the beginning, advocating for our neighbors and making sure that their voices were heard throughout the process of being selected as both a Great Place through LISC's Great Places 2020 program and as the site for the CJC.
